We played at this golf course today and checked in slightly before 1 pm. They apparently close at 4 pm but I missed this sign at check in. There was not enough time for us to play 18 holes but the woman running the ship didn't mention that we had to be in by 4 pm and gladly accepted our 18 holes of golf knowing we wouldn't finish. They also let a group of 8 people on the course. We came behind them on the 8th hole and they clearly were beginners and were not letting us play through. We waited for them to finish two holes for over 30 minutes. When we got back to the first hole the woman who checked us in told us that we had one hour to play. I suggested we wrap up then as we would never finish nine holes in an hour and she snapped from her trailer that there were no refunds. Had she been honest with us we probably would have only golfed the nine holes. When I mentioned that we were held behind the group of 8 they let play she told me it was our responsibility to tell them they needed to let us pass them. It is the responsibility of the golfers ahead to move aside and let others play through. The course is in terrible condition and we knew that before we started to play but we wanted to enjoy a game of golf and provide funds to the local economy. When I mentioned that she should have told us we needed to be in by 4 pm her response was that there was a sign posted. In essence she was correct but she should have pointed it out to us. This course is not worth playing at and we regret spending our money there because clearly they know they will never see us again and could care less. This is not a place where customer service is a priority and I strongly do not recommend this course. Save your time and money.
Great island course. Not overly challenging or manicured. But, some good elevation and beautiful views. The cost of a round of golf is completely reasonable, i paid $45 for 9 holes, a cart, club rental, and a little for my wife to ride along. Everything you need to golf for less than $50 on the Hawaiian Islands! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Don't golf too fast, you're on Molokai!
I golfed here with my son. It was probably the best day we had together during our entire Father / Son Hawaii vacation. We walked the the course, no need for a cart. The staff was friendly and the manager went out of his way to make it perfect. The course is rustic, the views are comparable to Pebble Beach or Bully Pulpit. Molokai is a great island if you are looking to get away from it all. Just make sure if you want to go swimming you go at the right time of the year.
